We had a wonderful few days rock climbing with Bob in North Wales! My daughters who are 16 and 14 love climbing so I thought that it would be an unforgettable experience to have a go climbing in the outdoors. The experience with Bob simply exceeded expectations.
Bob was awesome. He immediately put my daughters at ease. He was friendly and patient and explained new methods clearly. His knowledge of climbing routes in North Wales is exceptional. After an initial zoom meeting to discuss their abilities and experience, he selected routes that were both achievable but also challenging. My daughters climbed routes on the coast and also in the mountains near Tryfan.
Bob taught my daughters how to lead climb, belay a second from above, thread a sports anchor, tying into an in reach and out reach anchor and much more. He emphasised safety and fun throughout. They even had a go at abseiling using a prussic knot.
All new techniques were practiced on the ground before moving trying at height. I was confident that my daughters were in safe hands throughout.
From indoor climbing walls to climbing in the mountains simply made our summer. A truly unforgettable adventure and memories made. Thank you Bob.
